Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 August 2026 · Applies to: SpeedCue 1.0 on iOS.

The short version

SpeedCue is a local-first GPS speed instrument. It works entirely on your device. It has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Your location is used only while a drive is open, only to calculate and show your speed, and is never stored, logged, or sent anywhere.

SpeedCue does not collect names, contacts, identifiers, advertising IDs, usage analytics, crash telemetry, or any coordinate, route, or location history.

Permissions

Your data and your control

Data security & your rights

Because your information stays on your device, its security is protected by your device’s own safeguards (passcode, encryption, and app sandboxing). SpeedCue collects no personal data and operates no servers, so there is no account to access and nothing for us to retain, share, sell, or be compelled to disclose. You remain in full control: your data is removed when you delete it in the app or uninstall SpeedCue.

Children

SpeedCue is a general-audience driving utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal data.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected here and in the app’s About screen with an updated effective date.
